Marketing Content Writer — Contract Position

Our Marketing team is looking for an experienced web content writer. This position requires someone who is great at storytelling and understands the ERP buyer’s journey. This person will work across the product marketing and demand generation teams to create compelling content for and should enjoy working in a fast paced and informal environment but with high expectations for dedication and accuracy.

Roles and Responsibilities

Example of possible projects

  • Researching and expanding on a variety of topics for ERP
  • Crafting compelling content for our websites
    • Webpages
    • Bogs
    • Data sheet
    • White papers
  • Generate 5-10 compelling story ideas per week
  • Publish 1-3 original articles daily
  • Ensure alignment with SEO strategy and keywords

What you need to succeed

Skills Required

  • Messaging of business software benefits
  • Knowledge of typical business processes (accounting, distribution, etc.)
  • Diverse writing style to reflect audience personas and user experience
  • Master of American English style and jargon – we primarily sell to midsize businesses in the US
  • Strong writing and editing skills—understanding of web writing style:
    • Succinct, fact-filled content
    • An engaging, active tone
    • Writing broken up by subheadings
    • Use of bulleted lists
    • Embedded links throughout the text

Experience Required

  • Writing product marketing content for business application software
  • SMB marketing
  • ERP (and CRM a plus) applications
  • Cloud applications
