Textile Manufacturer Quantum Group Switches from NetSuite to Acumatica’s Cloud ERP

High-end distributor quickly realizes key business benefits using Acumatica’s SaaS solution on Windows Azure.

BETHESDA, Md., August 31, 2010 Acumatica, a provider of cloud ERP software today announcedthat Quantum Group, another recent customer win from NetSuite, is already seeing the benefits of leveraging the Acumatica platform.

A producer of high-quality, custom fabrics used in various commercial and industrial applications, Quantum needed an ERP platform that could be easily accessible from any location without the expense and challenge of installing and maintaining client software. Following an extensive evaluation of its existing NetSuite system, the Company decided to move to Acumatica’s fully integrated, web-based SaaS solution to better manage its complex corporate structure comprising seven companies in three different locations.

“After seven years of using the NetSuite platform and needing more control and flexibility for our expanding business, we made a final assessment and decided to make the switch to Acumatica,” said Barbara Page, Controller at Quantum Group. “The process of moving our data to the new Acumatica system was straightforward – in just 30 days we were up and running!”

The Acumatica migration tools made it easy for Acumatica’s value added reseller, M2 Technologies Inc., to carry out the move from NetSuite for Quantum. According to M2 Technologies’ Matt Marks, “Acumatica was a good fit for Quantum because advanced financial features can be shared by multiple users across multiple business locations and corporate entities. And unlike NetSuite, Acumatica does not charge user-based fees, so Quantum can involve more people in business process automation.”

With Quantum’s SaaS solution deployed on the Microsoft Azure cloud, the Company benefits from built-in disaster recovery features without worrying about managing operating systems, hardware, and other datacenter complexities. Prior to implementing Acumatica cloud ERP, Quantum relied on NetSuite’s web-based platform to manage its financials, but it didn’t provide the control they needed over their costs, support, or user licensing. The manufacturer had to limit the number of users to keep costs down. Additionally, it was difficult to get questions answered by NetSuite’s customer support team.

“We're pleased to add Quantum to the roster of enterprises that have selected our platform to enhance their business processes,” said Ezequiel Steiner, Acumatica’s CEO. “Quantum can automate its operation by quickly adding multiple users without having to install and lock in to client software or pay additional license fees. Users can access real-time data, features, and reports from any location. And the Company has the control they need at a price they could afford.”
