Leading ISVs Join Acumatica in Growing Cloud ERP Software Ecosystem
Adaptive Planning, Avalara, Pacejet, and SIPD partner with Acumatica to reach mid-market businesses that are increasingly moving business applications to the cloud.
BETHESDA, Md., September 16, 2010 Acumatica, a provider of cloud ERP software today announced that Adaptive Planning, Avalara, Pacejet, and SIPD are among the growing community of ERP applications that are available to Acumatica customers. All applications, including financial forecasting and budgeting, tax calculation and filing, sales and invoicing, and EDI for distribution and shipping are now available to mid-sized businesses that want to utilize the cloud to manage their operations more efficiently without being locked-in to a single SaaS vendor.
In a recent survey of more than 100 IT and business professionals, approximately 40% of respondents said they are looking to move their business applications to the cloud. Acumatica utilizes the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud for its SaaS solution, but also offers on-premise solutions for customers who are not ready to make the jump. Acumatica already has over sixty value added resellers (VARs) worldwide who have embraced the cloud by selling solutions provided by Acumatica and its partners.
According to Laurie McCabe, partner at industry analyst firm SMB Group, “Independent software vendors (ISVs) need to integrate solutions to provide mid-sized businesses with fully functional, on-demand capabilities in a streamlined way. Today’s SaaS platforms simplify integration by delivering centralized management control and web-based interfaces that can help save customers money and avoid complexity.”

ERP system integrator Les services SIPD in Quebec knows all too well the benefits of utilizing Acumatica’s customization tools to deliver applications to French Canadian businesses. SIPD recently announced the availability of its new EDI module on Acumatica which allows mid-sized enterprises to interact with larger businesses that often require them to use EDI. The add-on enables electronic order imports from the EDI software directly into Acumatica’s cloud-based ERP and the sending of invoices through the same means.
