Enclosure Manufacturer Upgrades from Sage MAS 90 to Cloud ERP
DDB Unlimited saves $80,000 per year in out-of-pocket expenses by moving to an integrated Cloud ERP solution for accounting, distribution, and more.
BETHESDA, Md., May 26, 2011 Acumatica, a provider of Cloud ERP software, today announced that DDB Unlimited joined other firms that have upgraded their business software to the Cloud. By replacing outdated client-server and stand alone accounting systems, companies can consolidate sales, purchasing, accounting, inventory, and more in a single system that is accessed using a web-browser.
The immediate benefits to DDB Unlimited include increased automation, more accurate reporting, faster billing, and a savings of $80,000 per year in outsourced accounting services. In addition, the Cloud prevents data loss in case of floods, tornados, or other natural disasters.
DDB Unlimited was able to move to the Cloud in under a month by utilizing customization tools and import utilities supplied by Acumatica. AIM Solutions, an Acumatica value added reseller, was instrumental in migrating all accounting information, current account balances, customers, active orders, active purchases, and other data to the Cloud.
“Acumatica and AIM Solutions helped us reduce software costs and maintenance hassles by moving to the Cloud,” said Kelvin ‘Dusty’ Mahorney, CEO at DDB Unlimited. “By upgrading to a modern Cloud based solution we can add people and locations without outgrowing our IT solution.”
Acumatica helps break down barriers to getting to the cloud by giving customers a choice of deployment options and allowing them to switch even after installation. This choice eliminates vendor lock-in and gives customers control of their data. DDB Unlimited elected to deploy a turnkey system running on Microsoft Windows Azure to eliminate IT complexities and upfront hardware costs.
“Customers such as DDB Unlimited are gaining a competitive advantage by moving to Cloud based systems,” said Ezequiel Steiner, CEO of Acumatica. “Businesses that are clinging to legacy systems such as the Sage MAS line run the risk of falling farther behind agile manufacturers such as DDB Unlimited that can get real-time dashboards on any device without installing complex client software.”
