Acumatica Studio Platform Overview

The System Foundation Layer is a set of core components that are designed to isolate developers from the complexities associated with building a web application. Direct use of HTML, CSS, HTTP, and Javascript is not required.

The Application Foundation Layer is a set of application building blocks and database structures with components for creating and extending Acumatica applications. Security management, wiki tools, user management, document management, customization, and localization tools are all provided.

The Application Layer consists of 3 logical areas that separate data access, business logic, and presentation. Acumatica provides wizards and tools to help with creating data access classes, business logic, and presentation. A web services API allows programmers to interface external systems with business logic without creating a presentation layer.
