See How G2 Crowd Ranks Acumatica Cloud ERP vs. Sage Intacct in New User Satisfaction Ratings Report

The amount of information you need to wade through before deciding on which ERP product to invest in can be mind boggling. G2 Crowd’s new User Satisfaction Ratings report simplifies the process by comparing leading ERP vendors, including Acumatica cloud ERP, based on actual user reviews. 

The importance of choosing the right ERP solution cannot be understated. It’s a huge investment, one that significantly impacts your entire organization. To help, G2 Crowd collates peer reviews and public data upon which technology buyers, investors, and analysts can base their software-buying decisions. Their March 2019 User Satisfaction Ratings report pits Acumatica cloud ERP against Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, and NetSuite.

Today, we’ll discuss how Acumatica and Sage Intacct compare.

Acumatica’s true cloud ERP software vs. Sage Intacct

The G2 Crowd report, a free download, highlights Acumatica’s and Sage’s usability and functionality through the eyes of actual users. The seven categories covered in the report include Ease of Doing Business With, Ease of Use, Quality of Support, Meets Requirements, Ease of Admin, Ease of Setup, and Is the product headed in the right direction. Of the seven, Acumatica comes out on top in five categories, only lagging Sage by a few percentage points in the other two.

Estimating the ROI on the product (payback period in months), 20% of the real-business users noted that Acumatica’s cloud ERP software would pay off within six months or less with only 12% of Sage users saying the same. The report also breaks down the time it took for businesses to go live with each ERP product. Overall, Acumatica’s cloud-based ERP edged out Sage Intacct for customer satisfaction.

Let’s look at some of the key differentiators between the ERP vendors:

  • True cloud: Acumatica’s ERP software was built for the cloud, which means users can access functionality via the internet using a standard browser without installing software on their devices—no additional licensing needed. Sage, on the other hand, is a legacy ERP that was built for on-premise deployments. They had to retrofit their product for the cloud.
  • Mobility: Accessing your ERP information on mobile devices is required in today’s fast-paced, high-expectation marketplace. Acumatica’s cloud-based ERP provides the same information and flow on a PC, tablet, or phone, resizing every page and screen accordingly. Sage’s online products are available on multiple mobile devices, but they do not automatically resize.
  • Pricing: With cost a major deciding factor in the ERP selection process, Acumatica’s unique unlimited user pricing is a welcome change from being charged per user, which is a deterrent to growth.

These are just a few of the differences users can expect from Acumatica and Sage, and Acumatica customer Superprem Industries has first-hand knowledge of what these difference means in terms of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The company—which imports sinks, plumbing fixtures, small appliances, and other household products from China and Europe and sells them throughout Canada—was running on outdated, disconnected Sage databases. They had four locations that were unable to get real-time inventory and lacked communication. They also were only able to have a few employees log in at the same time.

Kevin Chiang, Chief Business Development Officer for Superprem, knew they needed to find a modern cloud ERP solution that would scale with them as they grew, and upgrading their outdated Sage platform was not an option. “We learned it wasn’t really a true cloud product. It has data in the cloud, but the data has to be downloaded. And only one person could be logged into the cloud at a time.”

He continues, “Acumatica’s intercompany module has been incredible. We have two companies, the company that holds the stock, and then another that does distribution, so there are a lot of cross transactions and the accounting was a nightmare in Sage. But it’s all integrated in Acumatica, saving us tons of time. The system does it all for you, and intercompany transfers are now a breeze.”
