From concern that our annual cloud ERP event wasn’t going to happen to over 2,500 attendees joining us at the Wynn Las Vegas, Acumatica Summit 2021 was a huge success.
With ‘Resilience’ on the screen behind him, Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill opened Acumatica Summit 2021 acknowledging the challenges of 2021, paying homage to the Acumatica community’s ability to overcome. “I’m very proud of what everyone has done. We are a very resilient group of people.”
During the Summit’s two keynotes (which are available on-demand), he, along with Ali Jani, CPO, and Ajoy Krishnamoorthy, VP, Platform Strategy, shared details and announcements that encouraged and assured the thousands of customers, partners, and developers in attendance that Acumatica could be relied upon—no matter the circumstances.
In addition to surpassing 8,000 customers worldwide, Acumatica over the last year:
- Delivered 99.996% uptime
- Ran over 4.8 billion transactions through the Acumatica cloud
- Released Acumatica 2021 R1 and previewed Acumatica 2021 R2
- Continues to provide full SOC Type I and II certification
- Earned Climate Neutral certification

Recognizing customers and partners at Acumatica Summit 2021
“The past year has challenged us to flex our customer success muscles as we worked with dozens of industry-leading businesses to help them navigate successful cloud-based ERP implementations,” Jon said in the Day One press release. “We’ve helped our customers improve resiliency, embrace digital transformation, and prepare for the future. We take our customers beyond basic process digitization and help them transform into mature, efficient, and connected businesses.”
Cloud ERP software is a key component to a successful digital transformation, but it isn’t an overnight process. Instead, digital transformation is an ongoing journey. Every company must continue taking the next steps that lead to growth and digital resiliency, something exemplified by the three companies Jon recognized during his keynote.
The first to receive an award was Mozaic, Acumatica’s Impact Customer of the Year. They were followed by Acumatica’s Customer of the Year, Industrial Specialty Services (ISS), and later, Acumatica’s Partner of the Year, Blytheco.
(The full list of Acumatica Partners who won an Acumatica Cloud ERP 2021 Award will be available in a forthcoming blog post).

Announcing new partnerships and integrations at Acumatica Summit 2021
No person is an island, and the same goes for every business. Acumatica understands the importance of these partnerships.
We rely on our Value Added Resellers (VARs) to sell our cloud-based ERP solution, and we forge strong partnerships with our Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to extend the functionality of the Acumatica Cloud xRP Platform. Many of these partners joined us at Acumatica Summit 2021 in the sold-out Acumatica Marketplace.
We continue to grow these partnerships and integrations and announced the most recent during the Summit. They include:
- Adobe Document Cloud integration, which allows Acumatica customers to annotate, highlight, and comment on PDF documents and save updated versions without leaving Acumatica
- Microsoft Teams integration, which allows Acumatica customers to access the communication and collaboration features of Teams to initiate chat and calls within Acumatica
- New Shopify Integration, which unifies the front and back ends of any retail offering and allows larger merchants to connect to Acumatica’s cloud ERP solution more easily
Additionally, during the Day 2 keynote, Ajoy announced a new partnership with ZoomInfo, a B2B intelligence platform, and he also announced that Acumatica was working with Microsoft PowerFX, a low-code programming language based on Microsoft Excel.

Acumatica Summit 2021 attendees enthusiastic about Acumatica 2021 R2
During the Day Two keynote, Ali, Ajoy, and a host of demonstrators were excited to show the thousands of customers, partners, developers, analysts, and media personnel what Acumatica 2021 R2 has in store. Advances in personalization, core business functions, and industry editions (including Financials and CRM, Distribution and Retail, Construction and Field Service, and Manufacturing) are all part of our upcoming product release. More details can be found in the Day Two press release.
Like each one of our bi-annual product releases, Acumatica 2020 R2 is defined by the input we get from our customers and partners. With the beta version set to release August 24, 2021, we look forward to feedback from the community.

Attendee fun at Acumatica Summit 2021
Our annual event, which covered 6+ days and 80+ sessions, is not all work and no play. The attendees enjoyed various activities we host every year, to include the Welcome Reception on Sunday, July 18 where our Acumatica 2021 MVPs were recognized and given a token of our appreciation for their hard work.
The Monday night Celebration Party is perhaps the most anticipated event of the Summit. This year’s party was at the Wynn’s Encore Beach Club and was a smashing success.

The Women in Tech lunch was a highlight – and had record attendance. Former U.S. Army Black Hawk Pilot Elizabeth McCormick was a dynamic and inspirational speaker, letting the attendees know they were in the pilot’s seat of their life trajectory. Mike Walsh, renowned speaker, author, and advisor, closed Acumatica Summit 2021 with a great message on driving transformation in an unpredictable future. And we can’t forget the Acumatica Hackathon, which saw developers and non-developers gather for a time of hard work, good food, and entertaining competition.
Where we go from here
It was a successful Summit that focused on the resiliency of the Acumatica community and the reliability of Acumatica Cloud ERP. It’s a winning combination, and we will continue focusing on innovation and our customers as we meet the future head-on.
If you were unable to attend the Summit, the Acumatica Summit 2021 Keynotes are available on-demand. The following video provides a great overview of the entire week and will hopefully persuade you to join us next year at Acumatica Summit 2022, which will be held again at the Wynn Las Vegas on January 23-28.
Thank you to our Summit 2021 sponsors for their support, and to every attendee who joined us during an unprecedented year. Let us know how the event went. As with every release, we take your thoughts and opinions into account for our next Summit.
