The inaugural Acumatica Outstanding Implementation award, presented at Acumatica Summit 2016 this past week, was given to Guardian SealTech.
Based in Houston, Texas, Guardian SealTech is an industrial provider of compliance management, maintenance, repair, and operations services to a broad range of national petroleum refining and petrochemical customers. As their name implies, Guardian SealTech’s business keeps industrial plants online delivering fast, high quality maintenance, and repair services for complex industrial process infrastructure needs.
With a nationwide customer base, Guardian SealTech has 500+ field technicians across the US. At that size, even basic tasks, such as collecting accurate timesheets to ensure prompt billings can become daunting. Using Acumatica’s Project Accounting Module and Mobile Framework, SealTech’s Acumatica partner ROC Solutions created an end-to-end workflow starting with time capture from the individual field tech’s mobile device to hierarchal approvals resulting in faster and more accurate client billings.
In a presentation to other customers at Acumatica’s Summit 2016, Francisco Callegari, CIO of Guardian SealTech, stressed the importance of gaining employee buy-in when selecting a new cloud ERP system:
I had the CEO and the executive management team involved, I got the lines of business, and — every key player was involved in this process to define requirements, priorities, and build a vision around moving our business to the cloud, and determine benefits vs total cost of ownership. Then we sat down with multiple ERP vendors. We had Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics SL; NetSuite; Workday; and Acumatica. We did comparisons in terms of what will it take to implement this solution versus that solution?” And, it came out Acumatica, with two thumbs up by everybody. That gave us the buy-in from the key users — because those are the people that, in the end, are going to make it happen.
Congratulations to the team at Guardian SealTech. We’re excited to see what they do in 2016.
