Acumatica Training Courses Updated to Acumatica 2019 R2 Are Now Available

Now that Acumatica 2019 R2 is generally available, we’re ready to announce some exciting updates to our training courses we think our Acumatica partners will appreciate (the updates are based on their feedback).

As one of our valued Acumatica partners, you know that we provide two major releases (including multiple minor updates) a year to our highly rated cloud ERP solution, which, according to ROI-based technology research provider Nucleus Research, sets the standard for Usability. We continue to uphold this standard with our latest release, Acumatica 2019 R2, combining practical innovation with community-driven features for unbeatable user satisfaction.

So you can get the most out of the latest version of our cloud-based ERP solution, we made some huge updates to our Acumatica partner training courses.

What Acumatica partners can expect from the new training courses

Like Acumatica 2019 R2, the new training courses have been shaped by your direct feedback. You wanted more business-process oriented courses, recommendations on applicable scenarios for functionality, and smaller modules (split courses) for a more flexible way to build an individual learning path through Acumatica Partner University.

We listened, and the following courses have been revised, discontinued, or introduced accordingly:

  • F100 Financials: Basic 2019 R2
  • F300 Financials: Inter-Branch Transactions 2019 R2 (former F200 Financials: Intermediate)
  • F130 Financials: Prices and Discounts 2019 R2 (former F200 Financials: Intermediate)
  • D100 Inventory and Order Management Basics 2019 R2
  • D200 Inventory and Order Management Extended Scenarios 2019 R2
  • P100 Project Accounting: Basic 2019 R2

All the new courses utilize the same dataset (U100) and can be completed on the same instance of Acumatica ERP. With every new update, starting with Acumatica 2019 R2, we release a snapshot with the dataset. You can upgrade your existing Acumatica instance using the UI and create a new training sandbox using the snapshot.

Additionally, we’re releasing renewal courses for our most popular badges: Business Consultant and Order and Inventory Management. Badge holders of the earlier version of the courses can complete badge renewals to learn about the latest Acumatica cloud ERP software features as well as refresh the validity period of the badges.

Training course upgrade details

Here are the specific changes made to our training courses.

Course Split

Our Education Team has started the redesign of the F200 Financials: Intermediate course. The course has been discontinued and will be replaced with the following set of courses:

  • F300 Financials: Inter-Branch Transactions (Released)
  • F130 Prices and Discounts (Released)
  • F230 Budgets and Allocations (Coming soon)

Business Consultant Badge Update

The following courses are now included to the Business Consultant badge: 

Required courses:

  • F100 Financials: Basic 2019 R2
  • F300 Financials: Inter-Branch Transactions 2019 R2
  • F130 Prices and Discounts
  • F350 Reporting: Analytical Reports 2017 R2

Complete these courses to get the badge or update your badge that is currently in the Retention status.

Recommended courses:

  • F330 Financials: Advanced | Sales Taxes and Avalara Integration 2017 R2
  • F335 Financials: Advanced | Value-Added Taxes 2017 R2

These courses currently are not required for achieving the badge.

Renewal course:

  • F105 Business Consultant: Badge Renewal 2019 R2

Complete this course to extend the validity period of your Business Consultant badge without re-completing the new versions of the required courses. The badge renewal is applicable only for the learners who you already have a valid Business Consultant badge for the earlier versions of the courses. Badges that have been expired and badges in retention are not updated with the renewal course.

Inventory and Order Management Badge Update

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Business Consultant badge is required.

Required courses:

  • D100 Inventory and Order Management Basics 2019 R2
  • D200 Inventory and Order Management Extended Scenarios 2019 R2

Complete these courses to get the badge or update your badge that is currently in the Retention status.

Renewal course:

  • D105 Inventory and Order Management: Badge Renewal 2019 R2

Complete this course to extend the validity period of your Inventory and Order Management badge without re-completing the new versions of the required courses. The badge renewal is applicable only for the learners who you already have valid Business Consultant badge for the earlier versions of the courses. Badges that have been expired and badges in retention are not updated with the renewal course.

Training Sandboxes

Starting with Acumatica 2019 R2, the U100 dataset is available not only in the Configuration Wizard but also as a snapshot for every released build. It was done to simplify organization of a training environment. Now an administrator of your company can set up one cloud instance for the employees, and employees can add needed test tenants by themselves.

We developed our new courses using only two types of a company that can be easily added through UI:

  • Out-of-the-box company: You can add multiple test tenants with the out-of-the-box company to an existing instance of Acumatica ERP through UI.
  • Company with the U100 dataset: You can add multiple test tenants to an existing instance and restore the U100 snapshot for every or for some created tenants through UI.

Per the usual, courses can be found in the Course Library of the Partner University. We’ve also refreshed the learning paths for each updated badge.
