The fast-growing cloud ERP company will host a lunchtime panel to help start-ups smart-up their accounting practices to take their business to the next level.
Kirkland, WA, Oct 1, 2015 – Acumatica, the fastest-growing cloud ERP company, will host a lunchtime panel at the annual GeekWire Summit to help start-ups understand the importance of robust accounting software through industry insight and customer success stories. The company will also give away a year’s subscription to its award-winning software as part of its presence at GeekWire Summit.
Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill said: “Acumatica is based in the Pacific Northwest, where many entrepreneurs have built businesses that are ready to move to the next growth stage. We are perfectly situated to help these start-ups with the right-sized, right priced accounting software that will streamline their business and give them the visibility and BI tools they need.
“Acumatica’s modern technology built on a powerful platform, paired with flexible deployment and licensing, is the perfect partner for these technology companies.”
Roskill will be joined by Acumatica COO/CFO Nigel LeGresley; Jeff Guillot, Managing Director, Privateer Holdings; and Patricia Bennett, CEO of PC Bennett.
The October 2 lunchtime panel titled “Is Your Start-Up Investor Ready?” is expected to draw a crowd of more than 140, part of the 800-plus attendees of the two-day technology conference at the downtown Seattle Sheraton.
The panel is expected to share their experiences and give advice to start-ups and the broader technology community on best business management software practices as many of them scale up.
Acumatica’s LeGresley, a former VP of Finance at Tableau Software who was a key member of the team that completed the company’s successful initial public offering, said: “Investors are looking for strong operational and financial controls. They want to see a company execute business and run efficiently. It’s crucial to establish best practices early on to ensure your start-up is well-positioned for the next growth cycle.”
Acumatica sells exclusively through a 100% partner channel, with more than 350 partners worldwide serving a base of over 1,100 customers ranging from hi-tech to manufacturing.
Tamara Robson, VP Business and Client Development at Robson Communications, a Canadian hosting provider, switched from Quickbooks to Acumatica.
She said: “Acumatica improved the efficiency of our recurring billing and invoicing by automating processes and providing advanced features that were not available with QuickBooks.”
Acumatica is also holding an “Acumatica Small Business Makeover” to give away a year’s SaaS subscription of its cloud accounting software to one lucky attendee at the GeekWire Summit. The implementation, which is also part of the giveaway, will be done by Tacoma-based partner ICAN Software Solutions. Interested businesses should visit the Acumatica booth to fill in a form to qualify for a drawing.
