Leading Dog Treat Company Picks Acumatica’s Cloud ERP Products Over Netsuite

July 23, 2013

Kirkland, WA, July 23, 2013 — It was paws for applause at the normally busy offices of Acumatica, the world’s fastest-growing provider of cloud-based ERP solutions, when the team learned that TDBBS had selected the company’s Cloud ERP platform over Netsuite.

“Netsuite was very aggressive in promoting its solution,” said Joel Gress, CEO of Dynamic Tech Services, the Acumatica Gold Partner who guided TDBBS through its selection process as well as Acumatica 4.0 deployment.

“But in the end, Acumatica’s differentiators in superior technology and on-premises and SaaS choices convinced TDBBS of its value.”

TDBBS, of Richmond, VA, is a leading natural pet products manufacturer with a large fan base of animal lovers. In addition to its strong support for pet-related charities, the company is well known for its all-natural bully sticks, which are wrapped, branch-like dog treats made from free-ranging Brazilian beef cattle. Each bully stick is hand inspected by company staffers in Virginia.

“Our customers appreciate the all-natural quality of our products,” said Avrum Elmakis, the family-owned company’s CEO and founder. “We are passionate about pets and want to provide the highest quality products that we can possibly source.”

Elmakis said that TDBBS was won over by the Acumatica product, Dynamic Tech Services, and JAMS Manufacturing, which provided the advanced manufacturing software module for its operations.

“We evaluated several ERP solutions, and believe Acumatica is the ERP solution of the future,” said Justin Morris, Director of Ecommerce and CTO. “We wanted a flexible solution that could grow with our company and didn’t have any of the strings normally found with traditional license-based ERP solutions. We own it, have the flexibility to host in-house, in the cloud, or use a SaaS service.”

Since Acumatica is an asp.NET based solution, it installed in minutes to TDBBS’ server and allowed the company full control to customize business processes within the system.

Stijn Hendrikse, Acumatica’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “Joel’s attention to detail and his ability to understand TDBSS’s business needs were instrumental to the company’s selection of our products. There are thousands of manufacturers and businesses like TDBBS that focus on product and operational quality.”

“We hope that TDBBS’s choice of Acumatica will demonstrate that our products are top dog in the industry and that we have assembled a global network of experienced partners who can customize our solutions in a way that unleashes productivity like never before.”
