This year, Acumatica’s annual Summit took place in Seattle, Washington. The Cloud Computing Capital of the world was the ideal setting to gather over 3,000 Acumatica Community members to experience insightful Keynote and breakout sessions, the expert-filled Acumatica Marketplace, and the networking opportunities that make Summit a one-of-a-kind event.
To capture the key insights and compelling knowledge from this successful, jam-packed event, we partnered with GeekWire—a fast-growing national tech news site founded in 2011— to interview Summit attendees. Speaking with Acumatica leaders, customers, partners, and industry analysts, GeekWire Studios’ host Steph Stricklen uncovered what it is that sets Acumatica apart from our ERP competitors.
GeekWire Interview Spotlights: Incredible Acumatica Insights in Compelling 5-8 minute videos
Each of the 10 Summit GeekWire interviews provides helpful perspectives on the latest technological innovations that are shaping the market and insights on how companies are using new features and capabilities to help their business succeed.
Steph spoke with Acumatica CEO John Case, who highlights the incredible importance Acumatica places on building Community and listening to our customers and partners’ experience-driven input. Their feedback helps us produce a cloud-based, industry-specific business management software—including integrated enterprise-level capabilities such as next-level, native AI innovation—that equips them with the tools they need to successfully navigate growth, complexity, and rapid change.
For Acumatica President and Chief Operating Officer Sanket Akerkar, Acumatica’s channel-driven model ensures strong outcomes for our Community. Our partners bring deep industry-specific expertise to the table, providing our shared customers with the long-term support—starting with the implementation and going beyond the go live— they need to thrive.
In his interview with Steph, Acumatica Chief Engineering Officer Miten Mehta explains that Acumatica’s priorities are shaped by customer collaboration. Our goal is to build software that adapts to our customers’ needs rather than forcing them to work around a rigid system. From ensuring our new capabilities fit customer operational workflows and adopting emerging technologies like AI through a disciplined approach to our cloud-native architecture, Acumatica is helping customers evolve their systems and succeed.
Tom Victor, president of Protelo, Acumatica’s Rookie Partner of the Year, reflects on what drew his team to Acumatica. He shares how, as a new partner, he was impressed with the Acumatica Community, which works together through open exchange of ideas and insights to solve real business challenges. He also highlights Acumatica’s partner model, which he says allows Protelo to tailor solutions to each customer and to evolve into a customer advisory role.
Blytheco is Acumatica’s 2026 Partner of the Year winner, and CEO Lori Seal chatted with Steph about the challenges customers face before an ERP implementation, how the most successful projects begin with understanding a business’s unique operations, and how Blytheco measures success and customer satisfaction. As for being a part of Acumatica’s partner ecosystem, Lori believes it’s a strong, collaborative community that offers our shared customers a critical advantage.
Acumatica customer Andy Williamson, Commercial Director at Venture Engineering, talks with Steph about the competitive, fast-moving business’s decision to implement Acumatica and how they’ve experienced improved efficiency, coordination, and overall performance.
As operations became more complex and visibility became even more important to growing business Wilmar LLC, the team decided to find a technological platform that could deliver long-term success. Neil Cantral, Director of IT, shares how their search led them to Acumatica’s cloud ERP platform and what benefits they’ve experienced since implementing our adaptable, agile solution.
Acumatica’s Customer of the Year, Storm Smart, was running on disconnected systems, had limited visibility, and was using tools that didn’t keep pace with its expanding footprint. According to CFO Brian Cassell, implementing Acumatica’s single, integrated system transformed operations, providing better visibility, improved collaboration, and increased efficiency. He also discusses with Steph the broader impact Acumatica has on the business.
As Acumatica’s Impact Customer of the Year, PSI Family Services knows a little something about supporting vulnerable communities with critical behavioral health and support programs. Shawn Rubbin, Chief Advancement Officer, explains how modern ERP systems, like Acumatica, enable non-profit, mission-driven organizations like theirs to focus on the people they’re helping rather than on the paperwork it takes to run the organization.
Wrapping up the Acumatica Summit 2026 interview spotlight series, Steph spoke with Jon Reed, co-founder of digonomica. Jon, who has attended his share of enterprise technology conferences, tells her what differentiates Acumatica Summit from other similar conferences and shares his view on how Acumatica compares to other ERP vendors in the market.
