Acumatica 2018 R2 launched in Boston
The Acumatica Launch Event Series began with our Launch Day Event in Boston on Wednesday, September 12. The venue was filled to capacity with attendees enjoying breakfast and networking during the Partner Showcase followed by Keynote speaker Jon Roskill, Acumatica CEO. Jon shared our vision for the connected business and demonstrated how Acumatica is supporting customers in their digital transformation. He also shared with the crowd that Acumatica, as the CODiE Award winner for Best Cloud ERP Solution two years in a row, is committed to constantly improving our product for users, with an emphasis on functionality and customer satisfaction.

“We have stepped in to fill a void that is not being met by larger, less nimble competitors,” said Jon Roskill, CEO. “Our focus in this 2018 R2 release on usability, customer satisfaction and compliance addresses the changing market requirements of today while also representing our targeted response to customer feedback – new dashboarding capabilities is a perfect example.”
Once again, Ali Jani, Doug Johnson and Jessica Gadbois took the stage after Jon to introduce a series of updates in three core areas: 1) Best in Class Business Functionality, 2) Industry Specific Solutions, and the 3) Acumatica xRP Platform itself. These improvements in Acumatica 2018 R2 span Financial Management, Project Accounting, CRM, Distribution, Manufacturing, Field Service, Commerce, and Construction Edition (more on that in a moment). Everyone loved the new side panels and push notifications! The field service demo was also a big hit.

A quick break was followed by our Special Event: an overview and demonstration of Acumatica Construction Edition. As previously noted, the newest Acumatica industry edition was not left out of the Acumatica 2018 R2 improvements. The day was rounded out with Title Partner and Exhibitor Spotlights, a Customer Panel, an Industry Analyst Panel, lunch, and networking.
