On March 20, Acumatica’s latest product release went live with the general availability of Acumatica 2024 R1. With updated features, usability enhancements, and cross-industry functionality, the new release has hundreds of improvements that deliver the latest innovations to our customers around the globe.
As we continue to advance the product and push the capabilities of what is possible for ERP software, we are also evolving our open, versatile, and powerful platform. We’re also offering developers a preview of our new user interface, which will be available more broadly in 2025.
Acumatica 2024 R1: What We’re Delivering
Acumatica 2024 R1 delivers a perfect blend of cross-industry and industry-specific capabilities. In a recent article, Acumatica’s Senior Product Marketing Manager of Manufacturing, Distribution, and Field Service James Mallory highlighted the importance of these capabilities as well as our customer-influenced improvements.

These specific and unique vertical needs James refers to include challenges organizations face, such as an unpredictable economy, a continually disrupted supply chain, and perpetual labor shortages. With Acumatica 2024 R1, small and midsized enterprises (SMEs) in varying industries gain a number of feature benefits. Here are a few examples:
- Manufacturers can expect improved material demand planning by forecasting optional stock and non-stock kit components and flexible production operation reporting.
- Contractors, project, and service organizations will have access to AP costs transactions related to progress billing lines from a new pro forma invoice side panel and simpler GL account reconciliation for negative expense receipts.
- Distributors will enjoy improved demand planning and forecasting with the new Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) application and improve warehouse management activities with bidirectional picking and aggregated quantities for pick lines.
- Retailers and Commerce Merchants will gain a unified connection between Acumatica and Amazon and use bidirectional sync to import products from Shopify and BigCommerce stores to Acumatica through the Commerce connector.

- Simplify no-code workflow creation with new sequential actions independent of conditions, enabling faster workflow processing.
- Improve business events to create actions and notifications based on triggers and formula-based conditions.
- Enhance the mobile experience for users with new image thumbnail support for lists on mobile screens.
- Access multilingual reports via REST APIs.
- Minimize security risks and streamline system customization processes by defining security access to new system objects during the object publication process.
Developer Preview of the New UI
Also included in the 2024 R1 release—and something that we provided a glimpse of in the Day 2 Summit Keynote—is a developer preview of the product’s new user interface (UI). A controlled release of the new UI is scheduled later in 2024 before general availability in 2025.
The new UI comes with a new design, enhanced to improve usability and engineered to deliver unmatched personalization, where any element can be personalized for a better user experience. And improved customization enables multiple UI customization layers to be applied to the same screen.
As noted, 2024 R1 includes a developer preview of the new UI so they can have access and better understanding of these changes prior to broader availability.
