When it comes to Acumatica development, there is no need to learn some custom language or use custom tools. You can use the tools and languages you know and love, including .Net, C#, and Visual Studio. Another benefit – and great news for developers – is that this also applies to team development! You can collaborate using tools which all developers are familiar with. In this video, we will go through how you can use Azure DevOps and Git when developing Acumatica solutions.
This video will also include several tips of how you can optimize your solution for Acumatica team development. Although Azure Devops will be demonstrated in this video, a similar approach applies with other developer repositories such as Bitbucket or GitHub. In case you are a solo developer (not working as part of a team), I would suggest that you still watch this video, because there are several principles that apply for you as well, such as being able to track source code history.
Note: This will be a two-part series. In this first video, we will go through the configuration of the Visual Studio and an Azure DevOps project. In the second video, I will demonstrate an end-to-end example of team collaboration, including use of Pull Requests.
Hope you enjoy the video – happy coding!
