To foster this learning environment, we’ve implemented some changes that will make the Summit breakout sessions more engaging, informative, and interactive—and give you more time to reflect, network, and explore.
Breakout Sessions: Small Changes, Big Impacts
We’ve all seen that “butterfly effect” time-travel movie plot where someone goes to the past, makes a tiny change, and causes massive differences in the present. It makes for good science fiction, but it’s also not far from the truth. In real life, small changes do have big impacts. Even altering daily habits, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, can greatly improve your long-term health.
We’re following this approach for Summit 2023, where we hope the small changes made in our agenda will have a lasting, value-filled impact on the health of your business. Here are three changes you can expect.
1. Longer Sessions
Summit breakout sessions have always been constrained by time. There’s often more cloud ERP information to share than there is time to share it, and both speakers and attendees have wished for longer sessions. So, this year, we’ve lengthened our breakout sessions from 45 minutes to 60 minutes—giving everyone an uninterrupted hour to dive deeper into the topics they’re passionate about. We’ll have more time to enjoy interactive discussions, forge personal connections, watch hands-on demonstrations, and ask/answer pressing questions.
2. Longer Transitions
To make the longer breakout sessions as beneficial and enjoyable as possible, we’ve also lengthened the transition periods between sessions. Instead of having to rush from one session to the next, you’ll now have 15 minutes between them to network, have follow-up discussions, reflect on what you’ve learned, or just take a deep breath and enjoy the Summit scene.
3. Longer Breaks and Meals
Rushed breaks and meals prevent deep, business-focused conversations. So, on January 30 and 31 (the two full days of breakout sessions), we’ll be providing two 30-minute breaks and longer mealtimes. This will give you more time to relax, think about what you’re learning, and chat with other partners, customers, and developers.
