As the opening day of Acumatica Summit 2024 (January 28 – 31, 2024) draws closer, thousands of Acumatica customers, partners, and creators are eagerly anticipating Summit’s full, three-day experience of networking, learning, training, and discovering all things cloud ERP. But if Summit sounds like all work and no play, it’s not.
Summit’s engaging social events are part of its annual attraction, and this year’s social event lineup promises a fun and festive environment for your learning experience.
Acumatica Summit Agenda Is Loaded With Fun Social Events
Summit is taking place once again at the beautiful, five-star Wynn Las Vegas resort, which is filled to the brim with amenities like gambling, live theatre, swimming, golfing, shopping, dining, a fitness center, and a full-service, award-winning spa experience. Every year, Summit offers the Acumatica Community expanded opportunities to relax, connect, and network, and our Summit Agenda is loaded with fun, engaging social events.
Here’s a brief breakdown of all the fun that’s on tap for Summit week.
Welcome Reception
Located in the Acumatica Marketplace, our Welcome Reception allows attendees to make their way through the exhibit-filled ballroom, reconnect with old friends, and engage with Acumatica ISV experts about their innovative, Acumatica-supporting applications while enjoying savory appetizers and delicious cocktails. Acumatica team members will also be front and center, excited to welcome the Community to another great Summit.
Summit Celebration Party and Dinner
This year, the always popular Summit Celebration Dinner & Party will move from its traditional Monday night slot and will take place on Tuesday. We are back at the amazing XS Nightclub at Encore’s European Pool. The energizing event will feature the resort’s top food and beverage offerings, and the music – provided once again by the amazing DJ Kara – will get the party going.
And, while we’ll want the Acumatica Community to fully enjoy every minute of the eating, dancing, and networking – a great break from the engaging presentations and the perfect way to get ready for the Summit’s third day filled with our informational, focused learning, and interactive breakout sessions.
Closing Reception
Past attendees have shared with us that having another opportunity at the end of Summit to mingle with their peers and firm up professional and personal friendships they’ve made during the week is a great way to end an amazing event. So, our third-annual Closing Reception is firmly enshrined in the schedule.
Featuring a two-piece band and live music performance by Nic Jackson, along with cocktails and food, the Closing Reception will be located near the Customer Experience Hub down the hall from the Acumatica Marketplace, giving attendees time to chat and visit the exhibits before heading home.
Yoga
Originating in ancient India, yoga is a spiritual and physical discipline that helps build strength, enhance flexibility, and reduce stress. It’s a perfect way to start a day and to start Summit. So at 6:15 AM on Monday morning, we invite all attendees– regardless of skill level– to join Justine Crowley of Cloud 9 ERP Solutions for an hour-long yoga session where she’ll employ techniques that create a sustainable mind, body, and soul connection.
Morning Run Through Vegas
For some, running is an invigorating way to improve their physical and mental health. For others, it’s torture. Whatever their mindset, every attendee who wants to reset and reenergize before a day filled with deep, business-enhancing cloud ERP insights is invited to meet in the Main Entrance Lobby at 6:00 AM for an hour-long run down a quiet and serene Las Vegas Strip.
There’s More in Store for Attendees at Acumatica Summit 2024
It may seem that the Wynn and its many amenities and location close to the Strip, our much-anticipated parties, and the invigorating exercising opportunities are plenty to fill the social event bucket, but we still have a few more events in store for Acumatica Summit 2024 attendees.
One such event is the fun but competitive Acumatica Hackathon, which is returning in all its glory but with an expanded focus. This year, we’re incorporating four of the United Nations 17 critically important Sustainable Development Goals. This means Hackathon participants – which include developers, marketers, implementation partners, system engineers, technical sales reps, work process experts, customers, and more—will need to create innovative applications that align with the following goals:
- Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
- Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.
- Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
- Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
In addition to having their names inscribed on the Acumatica Developer Network Hackathon Cup, earning recognition during the Tuesday Keynote, and getting the opportunity to present during the Developer Track, winning teams will receive a cash reward as well as additional funds they can use as a donation towards a sustainability charity of their choice.
Like the Hackathon, the Women in Tech Luncheon and the Women in Technology Networking Reception are two more events returning to Summit. These sold-out events provide attendees a dedicated time and space to connect with other women in tech while learning from Acumatica’s female leaders and guest speakers about diversity in the workplace, empowerment strategies, and building career momentum.
